The Alemany Farmers' Market Cat Lady Needs Help

If you've been to the Saturday morning Alemany Farmers' Market, you've surely seen Jackie Jones, an 88-year-old woman who entertains market-goers with live jazz and her pink wooden tap-dancing cat (with star pasties!), Effigy. She's been performing at the farmers' market as a one-woman band, bringing joy to little kids and adults for about 15 years.

Jones, who moved to San Francisco from New Orleans back in 1952, has been absent from the market lately – she recently broke bones in her legs and her foot. And unfortunately, she doesn't have the money to pay the pricey medical bills. Her fans have started an Indiegogo fundraising campaign to help her pay the expenses, hopefully allowing her to get back to the farmers' market ASAP. So if you love the Cat Lady, Musical Saw Lady, or whatever you call Jackie, please contribute to this campaign!
