BREAKING: Dumped Guinea Pigs Have Taken to Classic Dolores Park Activities

SF Gate reported on a pack of guinea pigs found wandering around Dolores Park yesterday after being dumped there Tuesday night. In just a matter of days, the little guys have already taken to the local customs; they've been spotted hula hooping, eating ice cream, smoking pot, and doing that weird ground-acrobatic thing where one of them lays on its back and balances the other on the bottoms of its feet, becoming simultaneously irritating as F yet mesmerizing to everyone in their immediate vicinity.

One park-goer reported that two of the guinea pigs were "trying desperately to coax a disinterested dog over to them as they waited in line for the porta-potties." Classic!

We were able to collect some snapshots from the scene:

In all seriousness, it's really not cool to abandon unwanted animals in the park. I get the fantasy of them roaming free, but it's essentially impossible for them to survive in an urban environment. Surrender smaller animals to Animal Care and Control or contact any of the rescue centers in SF.
