Cities are often chaotic places. For all their careful organization, most of what goes on from street to street is totally random. Every once in a while though, your turn signal matches up with the beat of a sidewalk drummer, a line of people step off the curb at the same time on the same foot, or the shadow of a telephone pole falls in perfect parallel with the lines of a crosswalk.
As sort of a riff on the Things Organized Neatly idea, I put these photos together to illustrate the coalescence of that randomness. Like those curious little moments that only last for a second, I like to think that some of these actually happen every once in a while. More than likely, nobody would notice even if they did. It's still fun to imagine though.
