On Wednesday November 20, a select group of cocktail enthusiasts from The Bold Italic was treated to a private tasting of the Wild Turkey portfolio in Campari America's new state-of-the-art Bar Lab. Their chic new office bar boasts scenic views of the Bay Bridge and with the end of daylight savings, guests were able to enjoy their drinks while admiring The Bay Lights twinkling in the background.

To round out the evening, Tango & Stache produced a spirit-driven menu and we were huge fans of the results. For the Wild Turkey 101 Turkey Mole Taco, they braised the turkey in Wild Turkey 101 and transformed it into a fragrantly spiced mole, a complex and rich sauce loaded with toasted peppers, hard spices, slowly braised, and finished with a hint of Mexican chocolate. It was then topped with a crumble of Queso Aserdo and served on a handmade Buttermilk Tortilla made right in front of you.

The other taco was the Wild Turkey Rye Smoked Potato and Mushroom Taco. Here, Tango & Stache placed a variety of fingerling potatoes smoked over olive branches and mesquite, married together with wild and cultivated mushrooms that had been coal roasted and simmered in Wild Turkey Rye Whiskey. Into this mix he added a bounty of fresh herbs and garlic which was then also placed upon a handmade buttermilk tortilla. It was studded with toasted caraway seeds and Wild Turkey Rye Whiskey pickled peppers.
We had a blast and we hope to see these holiday recipes making the rounds in the upcoming weeks.
