San Franciscans are good at many things, and it seems being single is one of them. Rent.com recently ranked urban centers across the country on the Top 5 Best Cities For Single People and guess what? We're #1. The group worked with a New York-based data company to come up with its findings, and zeroed in on cities with "more than 50,000 rental dwellings, a high concentration of single adults (20 years and older), and an overall population greater than 100,000.)" They also looked at nightlife and dining options, safety, and "coffee shop density" – that last one has to have helped really push us over the edge, right? Here's the full list:

1. San Francisco

2. New York

3. Washington, DC

4. Boston

5. Seattle

And here's what Rent.com has to say by way of explaining our winning status: "While it may be a little more expensive to live in the Bay Area, there are plenty of free recreational activities for singles to enjoy. And if you’re not into meeting your match online or becoming the next Tinderella, you can always strike up a conversation with someone new while hanging out at Dolores Park or grabbing your caffeine fix at Jane. With 39% of the population single and ready to mingle, San Francisco is a city where it’s great to be solo."

I guess that's why other cities want to fly their single ladies here, right?
