Update: The Youtube video was taken down, but just imagine young naked college kids scampering amongst library stacks and stunned lookey-loos. Also you probably shouldn't have any problems finding other videos of nude people online.
It's finals week at UC Berkeley, which means you can count on a bunch of crazy, stressed out students. To help blow off some of that pressure, there's a long-standing Berkeley tradition that continues to this day – the Naked Run. The semesterly hijinks take place during the week before finals (lovingly known as "dead week"), and involves a bunch of kids running wild through the stacks of the Main and Moffitt library in the buff amongst their studying/sleeping peers.
Naked Run 2014 took place last Thursday at around 9 p.m., to a group of cheering, screaming, and brain dead students. Based on some the reactions in the video, it might've been some of these students' first times seeing the opposite sex's naked body.
As a former Cal student and Main Library worker, I salute those brave souls who continue to carry on this wacky Cal tradition.
And of course, if you wanna see more nude running people, there'll probably be plenty more to ogle –despite the nudity ban – on Sunday at Bay to Breakers.
