Happy Bike to Work Day! It's the 20th anniversary of this annual bicycle commuting event. To celebrate, check out this video of 1970s Bill Cosby telling you all about "by-cycling." Watch the intro and then skip to 1:26 to see sweet vintage footage of people taking their bikes on the ferry from Sausalito to San Francisco, and then riding the streets of SF to some jazzy music. Later, at 2:37, see the San Francisco Boys Club's special program for the blind at work in what appears to be Golden Gate Park.
If you rode your bike to work, make sure to stop by one of the Energizer Stations to pick up some freebies and high fives.
And, if one day isn't enough for you, the entire month is Bike Month in San Francisco. Check out SF Bicycle Coalition for more info on the classes, workshops, talks, rides, and more going on the rest of this month!
