Last month, The Bold Italic got a new team member: Kyle Hughes, our new Sales Manager. We just wanted to take a moment to introduce you to Kyle, especially those of you who are looking for ways your company or brand could collaborate with us. Here's what Kyle has to say about himself:
I'm originally from a very small town called Ukiah, which is Haiku spelled backwards (unrelated). Before working at The Bold Italic, I was the director of sales efforts at 4505 Meats, where I developed relationships with scores of local businesses, worked farmers' markets, and told the absolute best sausage jokes I could possibly come up with. ("You know what they say about sausage, right? No? It's the wurst.") Prior to telling amazing sausage jokes, I worked in New York and Boston in the music business and these days, I continue to go out as often as possible to see new bands.
Some of my favorite things to do are show strangers around this magnificent city via restaurants and bars, teach people the joys of the "unmentionables" of meat and how to cook them, and daydream about opening a Turkish restaurant in San Francisco.
I was introduced to The Bold Italic by volunteering to become "Cousunclma" in an article featuring the "Turducken" of all things Thanksgiving (yep, it's a verb). I joined The Bold Italic as Sales Manager to help brands create meaningful events to reach the ever-changing target of San Francisco tastes. I'll also be working with the team to help produce sponsored content for companies looking to tell their story in a creative and compelling manner.
Want to get your story heard by our audience? I'm your man. Send me an email at kyle@thebolditalic.com.
