Beautiful Photos of SF That Look Like Impressionist Paintings

San Francisco photographer Christopher Dydyk is interested in capturing San Francisco's multidimensional nature, including its stillness, its frenetic energy, and the sensations of joy that people get from experiencing the city. His "San Francisco Impressions" does all of this at once. For his series of urban and nature scenes, Christopher developed a technique where he reconstructs and overlays his photographs on top of each other, and the end result looks like an impressionist painting. He explains, "To begin the process I repeatedly photograph a subject, such as a tree, as I walk a circle around it. Once I have all of the images, I digitally layer them, subtracting some elements and highlighting others." I love that Christopher's created a new way to push photography outside its traditional boundaries.

Check out these cool photos below, and see more on his website.
