THURSDAY
4 P.M. 80th ANNIVERSARY OF PROHIBITION'S REPEALfree
Thursday, December 5, marks the 80th anniversary of the repeal of prohibition, and 21st Amendment Brewery is leading a march to the beer. The parade starts at 4 p.m. at Justin Herman Plaza and ends at 21st Amendment Brewery on 2nd Street at Brannan, where the after-party will commence from 6 to 9 pm.

7 P.M. BLUXOME STREET WINERY'S REPEAL PARTY $40
Bluxome, San Francisco’s only fully-functioning winery, will open its doors for a night of revelry and relish just like the old days when SOMA was known as South of the Slot. Festivities will include tastings of library and pre-release wines, specialty ‘Hounds Cocktails’, savory hors d’oeuvres and live 1920’s music by The Cottontails.

FRIDAY

5:30 P.M. ARTCRANK SFO free
ARTCRANK SFO will feature hand-made, bike-inspired posters created by Bay Area artists. Limited edition, signed, and numbered copies of all posters will be available for purchase.

6 P.M. to 10 P.M. VALENCIA STREET MERCHANTS BLOCK PARTY free
The Mission comes together for the Valencia Corridor Merchants Association Holiday Block party: fashion, books, bikes, and food, along with libations, art, ephemera, contemporary and custom electronics, and more take center stage as 35+ Valencia Street businesses.

SATURDAY

7 P.M. JOHN DWYER'S LANDLORD APOCALYPSE OPENING free
A solo show of large scale pencil drawings by artist and musician John Dwyer of Thee Oh Sees.

11 A.M. SF HANDMADE HOLIDAY BAZAARfree
CONCOURSE EXHIBITION CENTER’S EAST HALL
This marks the seventh anniversary of this locally-produced fair and promises to be the most unique yet, with more than 200 artists, designers, and crafters selling their handmade goods.

8 P.M. WINTER ETERNAL free
The Pretty Pretty Collective's winter art show is here! They've gathered a group of artists they admire and asked them to create pieces inspired by anything dark, mysterious, magical, ethereal, and romantic. There'll be free PBR for as long as it lasts, art, and a DJ.

4 P.M. THE FIRST ANNUAL TANNENBAUM TOASTfree
THE HOUSE OF SHIELDS (MEZZANINE)
Starting in 1880, and every year since, a grand tree has stood in SF's Union Square during the holiday season — the first such public-space Christmas tree in the country. Word is that it was Emperor Norton (1818-1880) who decreed the start of this wonderful tradition. Join The Emperor's Bridge Campaign and the Bay Area's favorite modern-day Emperor, at one of San Francisco's classic bars — just a stone's throw from Union Square — in a toast to the Starting in 1880, and every year since, a grand tree has stood in San Francisco's Union Square during the holiday season — the first such public-space Christmas tree in the country.
