Getting engaged is pretty great, looking into your partner's eyes and pledging your undying love- well it doesn't get much better. However, it's not long before the dread of having to plan a wedding sets in, a task so overwhelming that many choose to forgo the whole thing and just elope. Luckily for folks living in the Bay Area, The Bold Italic produced a different breed of wedding expo for those brave souls who have decided to soldier on with wedding plans.

This year Love/Make included over 75 creative vendors doing unique work in the industry. With a focus on DIY, indie alternatives to the traditional wedding aesthetic, there wasn't a cherub in site. We kicked things off on a sunny Sunday afternoon at Terra Gallery where attendees enjoyed live music, delicious food samples, special offers and a really cute free tote bag design by The Bold Italic.

If you missed the event, this video shot and edited by Photo/Dept will give you a sense of all the fun from that day.
