Rare Sunrise Blood Moon This Weekend

If you've missed the last two lunar eclipses, AKA, Blood Moons, the one this weekend could easily make up for them. Last April started a four-part series of eclipses known as a tetrad. The one this Saturday morning will reach totality just before sunrise at 5 a.m. Since it's only skirting the earth's shadow, the full "bloody" coverage will only last for about 5 minutes. The eclipse starts at 3 a.m., though, and will still be finishing up when the sun rises at 7 a.m. If you've never seen the full moon set over the ocean, this is a perfect opportunity. The last eclipse in the tetrad won't happen until next September.
