This is the Bay to Breakers Costume to Have This Year

While the New England Patriots might’ve won the Super Bowl on Sunday, it was really the left shark in Katy Perry’s halftime performance that won America’s heart. If, like me, you love a good meme-themed costume the "Imma do my own thing"/"maybe I don't really know what I'm doing" shark is available to buy online.

In case you somehow haven’t seen the clip yet, while Katy Perry was singing her heart out to “Teenage Dream,” one of her dancing shark partners totally missed all of the dance cues and just kinda flopped around on stage. Since then, the left shark has become a hero — and future holiday outfit — for many.

There’s an Indiegogo campaign where you can purchase the costume while also helping out the environment. Started by engineer David Lam, the fundraising effort has already exceeded its $5,000 goal. While many of the perks have been claimed, you can still get stickers or the full retail price shark suit. While it does come at a hefty price ($99), all profits made from the campaign will go on to benefit environmental non-profits such as the World Wildlife Fund or the Wildlife Conservation Society.

There’s time to decide, as the campaign ends on March 4th. But as a friendly reminder, it’s never too early to start planning your Bay to Breakers costume, especially if you plan to, you know, do your own thing during the foot race.

But we are all left shark, and left shark is all of us.

H/t Mashable.
