As someone with an intense interest in both shoes and heists, I am obviously fascinated with the following news: ABC News reports that the Powell Street DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse for those of you who don't know what's up) was robbed by four women yesterday. The women took multiple pairs of Giuseppe Zanotti high-tops, which according to ABC News, sell for over $600 each and according to me ARE SO UGLY IT HURTS MY EYES. To be fair, it's unclear which Giuseppe Zanotti styles were stolen, and some of them are less ug than others. You can judge for yourself here.

Investigators told ABC News that it's possible that this crime (or act of public service depending on how you look at fashion crimes) was committed by the Rainbow Girls, as this is a Union Square store and there was a group of thieves. Police are still looking for the four women, but who knows if they will find them before they go stealing from the Crocs cart at Westfield.
