You know what's weird? When people say babies are so cute that they could just eat 'em up. I had that saying in mind when I came upon a new product in the latest issue of Skymall(What? Don't act like you don't read it from cover to cover when you're flying, too) that puts adorable tots in extra danger of being consumed. The Tortilla Baby swaddle blanket is made to look like a flour tortilla, so that when you wrap up a lil' one, the kid becomes San Francisco's favorite tubular meal. And just look at the product description — I mean, aside from it not being the most culturally sensitive image, that is. It actually suggests you'll want to sink your teeth into this juicy little bundle. Yum!
I did a little sleuthing and discovered that the Tortilla Baby is designed by Bon Vivant Baby, run by LA-based maker Katharine Harlan Owens, who also makes Eggroll Baby and Sushi Baby wraps, in case your kid would look extra tasty as an Asian edible.
