Help the Dog of Deceased Renter's Rights Activist

Executive director of the San Francisco Tenants Union, Ted Gullicksen died on October 14 at age 61. The renters' rights activist was often seen – at rallies, speaking engagements, and protests – carrying his trusty pooch, Falcor, in a messenger bag close to his chest ever since the day he found the dog on his back door step.

The fluffy white dog lost his human best friend, but he is currently in a good home. Unfortunately, he needs medical help – $2,000 worth of it. Much of the care is dental related, possibly from being on the streets for some time before he was in Gullicksen's care.

So, if you're an animal lover and you respected Gullicksen's work for tenants' rights, here's something you can do: give a few bucks to help this recently orphaned pup by donating to the Falcor Fund. It's not going to help anyone from being wrongfully evicted, but at least you know that proceeds will help this little guy stay healthy. Any extra money over $2000 will be kept for his ongoing care.
