We all know New York is not San Francisco. Certainly there are similarities but we consider her to be our sophisticated older sister who sometimes rolls her eyes at our droll habits. They have better pizza, we have better burritos. We smoke pot in parks, they huddle in alleys and doorways to take a furtive puffs.
Ingenious urban mapping site Urbane decided to celebrate these similarities and differences by drawing a map of how San Franciscans can view New York.
Highlights include calling Central Park's Sheep Meadow "Dolores Park but more preppy and less pot" and refers to another spot as having "North Beach bar density, Russian Hill yuppiness, Mission Culture."
Check out the full map here for more spot on comparisons (at least I think they are spot on, because last time I went to New York was with my girl scout troop in 9th grade. I don't see the M&M's factory anywhere on this list and my troop leader assured me that was the epicenter of NY culture).
