This Is Why I Stopped Following You On Instagram

I love Instagram. I wake up and check it, I look during the day, and I scroll through my feed before bed. It's proven to be the longest lasting relationship I've had in years. However, there are some photos that I just can't stand. Everyone has the right to post what they want and follow who they want, but with that comes my right to unfollow whomever I want, too. So, I'll be honest... these are the reasons I had to stop following you on Instagram.

1. Too. Many. #Selfies.
2. You know how people say Instagram filters make any photo look good? Well... you might be the exception.
3. You've posted a photo of every single meal you've eaten for the last two years and I'm hungry, goddamnit.
4. Your captions are paragraphs-long stories; this isn't Livejournal.
5. You post photos of what you're wearing everyday. If I wanted to see every outfit you owned, I'd just look in your closet.
6. Your kid is cute and all but every single photo?

7. You went to [fill in awesome vacation place] and all I got was this photo of you doing [fill in awesome activity].
8. You changed your Instagram name and I didn't recognize it was you.
9. AGHHH! You really should stop using the flash.
10. You post three photos of the same thing in a row.
11. You post three similar pics in a row.
12. You post 3 photos of similar things in a row. See? It sucks.
13. You use that collage app way too much. One photo is better than five small ones. Just pick one. Be confident.
14. You've posted photos of your couch, expensive rug, and perfectly backlit curtains so many times I'm starting to wonder if you're a furnitureophile.
15. Be the change you wish to see in the world – please, for the love of god, stop putting inspirational quotes over your photos. Please?
16. You're out partying again and got super drunk?! No way. That's crazy.
17. Is it possible you don't know how to focus photos on your phone? Oh wait, you're probably still drunk.
18. #itsweirdhowyoumakeeverythingahashtag.
