Since you'll have to sit tight to see the upcoming Pixar movie set in San Francisco, and you're probably very over Frozen by now, you should be pretty excited about Disney and Marvel's Big Hero 6The story is about a teenage boy who is into robotics, named Hiro Himada and his puffy robot companion, Baymax. The film takes place in San Fransokyo, which you may have guessed is a blend of San Francisco and Tokyo.

In the comic, the story took place in Tokyo, but for the film, the directors decided to go with a more fanciful hybrid city. According to Gizmodo, the city is geographically laid out like SF and the animators even used precise city data to make each block as accurate as possible in regards to buildings and greenery. In terms of hills, they did their own thing and made all of them twice as high as they actually are for fun's sake.

Big Hero 6 will be in theatres November 7 and I'm hoping this movie will be special in a few key ways. For starters, the concept art was utterly charming and I know Baymax is obviously not Totoro, but I really like that he has a Totoro-like build and that there is a very chubby cat. Finally, the Gizmodo story said, "the filmmakers say there are more Easter eggs in this film than any other Disney movie." So keep your eyes open, San Francisco.
