Free Beer And Lotto Tickets!

Free beer and lottery tickets? Sounds too good to be true but that’s exactly what you can get if you download the Postmates app today. Postmates is a delivery service powered by bicycle messengers who can deliver things from local stores to your home or office. Their new promotion is called “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” and it offers a free six-pack of beer and a Mega Millions lottery ticket on demand. This offer started at 2 p.m. yesterday and since I am a dedicated investigative journalist I decided to try it out.

After downloading the app and selecting a delivery time it only took ten minutes for my messenger to arrive with a massive cooler strapped to his back. He dismounted and handed me my six-pack and ticket. If there’s one thing I love more than a strapping lad delivering me beer it’s a strapping lad delivering good beer. Several other dedicated journalists at the office ordered the same thing and between us we got six packs from Lagunitas, Kona, and Deschutes. No bargain basement suds here.

The promotion starts again at 2 p.m. and today is the final day. The Postmates website is quick to remind patrons (who only have to pay a small delivery fee and tip) that they do expect a finder’s fee should you win the millions. I will go one step further and demand a finder’s finder fee for telling you about this in the first place. I dream of using that money to tell the guy at Chipotle, “Why yes, I will have the guacamole, even if it is $2 extra, my good sir!”

And hey, even if you don’t win at least you have free beer!

Good luck!
