Yesterday the story that almost broke the Internet, and the heads of burners stuck in Reno for the day, was that the gates of Burning Man temporarily closed due to bad weather. Or, as one Facebook commenter tagged it, #DrowningMan. This morning at 6 a.m. those gates reopened, and the airport(!) will be available for folks with fancier faux furs to jet into around noon. As you can see from the livestream video below, it appears burners are very now busy riding their bikes around in circles and setting up camps. The rest of the week, the weather is supposed to range from the high '80s to low '90s so weeklong warriors can enjoy their drugs and desert in peace.
