Last Thursday Google Shopping Express and The Bold Italic brought our Microhood party back to TBI's home territory – Hayes Valley! More than 1000 people came out to the neighborhood and enjoyed free drinks, treats, discounts, and more. We’ve rounded up some highlights from the event:

Move Loot, a curated marketplace for gently-used furniture, hosted a make-your-own mason jar succulent arrangement workshop.

New Belgium Brewery treated guests at Noir Lounge to drink specials and entertainment from Magician and Balloon Artist Mr. SHAP.

The New Conservatory Theater Center delighted guests with free cotton candy from Straw, $10 off tickets to their upcoming shows, and gave away two pairs of tickets in our Uncle Jesse Prize Machine.

Our friends at PROXY hosted a Community Organization and Non-Profit Fair, featuring Pacific Institute/AgeSong, the SF LGBT Community Center, Hayes Valley Bakeworks, the Hayes Valley Neighborhood Association, and Friends of the Urban Forest. It was a fantastic opportunity for these organizations to meet with people and tell them about the great work they’re doing in the neighborhood. Visit their websites to find out how you can volunteer, donate, or get involved!

Basic Training tested everyone’s strength by hosting a monkey bar contest with tee shirts and gift certificates as prizes. It was a pretty clear wakeup call that we need to start working out!

OXENROSE Salon opened up its beautiful space and invited guests in for complimentary libations and some great tunes from their live DJ. That night, Oxenrose launched the display of artwork from Bay Area native Taylor Blackmore.

Over at Marine Layer shoppers got to play cornhole, check out the company’s cool van, enjoy free drinks, and get 20% off.

Bulo Shoes offered free wine and cheese, plus 50% off summer footwear.

La Boulange de Hayes kept everyone full with plenty of free samples! Visitors were able to try its new caramel latte and enjoy happy hour prices on beer and wine. The first 10 customers every hour received a free tartlette.

Timbuk2 was a popular spot with refreshments and discounts on all merchandise.

PUBLIC Bikes offered shoppers drinks, snacks, live music, and 10% off.

Storefront hosted a pop-up with Tiia Maria, a talented hatmaker.

Propeller Modern had a live DJ, small bites, drinks, and 20% off all purchases.

FLIGHT 001 gave guests 10% off regular priced items and 40% off sale merchandise.

As always, The Bold Italic was there spreading the love with our Uncle Jesse Prize Machine.

We’ll see everyone at our North Beach Microhood on Thursday, September 18th!
