Anyone who's been to Haight Street Shoe Repair in Upper Haight will know exactly what I mean when I say that I am head over heels in love with Carlos, the man who runs the little shop. Not only can he cobble the F out of a pair of shoes, he might be the sweetest, most charming man in the entire city.
