When San Franciscans want the “beach experience,” we don’t just hit the sand. Our beaches are generally too darn cold, foggy, and windy to allow for much typical oceanside fun, except during those glorious hot streaks that randomly arrive without warning. Nonetheless, our coastline is among the most beautiful in the country, offering access to the world-class urban parks, popular surf spots, the Golden Gate Bridge, and stunning views of the Marin Headlands.
