A condo in the new 8 Octavia residential building in Hayes Valley is now the most expensive unit in the neighborhood.

Curbed San Francisco reported that unit 608, a two-bedroom, two-bath condo that measures 1,001 sq. ft., is priced at $1.385 million, or $1,384 per square, making it "the highest listed price per square foot in the history of Hayes Valley." On top of the hefty list price, the unit also includes a monthly HOA fee of $702!

The building was designed by architect Stanley Saitowitz, who said of his building that it's "the San Francisco of the iPhone, not the Victorian" (ugh, yeah, that's a bit cringe-y). But I guess it's a huge clue about the demographic for these 47 units and who could actually afford to live within them.
