Some 49ers fans are raising money to put a billboard in Seattle that might as well say, "Hey, look at us! We're a bunch of dicks!" The billboard is meant to remind the Seahawks that they don't have a Super Bowl trophy. A Seattle blog is assuming it's an act of retaliation since the Seahawks flew a banner over Candlestick saying, "Go Hawks!" a few weeks ago. Big freaking deal. At least their message was self-promoting and not a direct jab at their opponents.
The website set up to raise money for this tacky idea had a goal of $7000 and has raised over $9000 so far. To be fair, the excess money will go to Seattle Children's Hospital, but doesn't that beg the question, "Why not just give all the money to the sick kids, you ass hats?"
